Marriage is God Idea!

Today we celebrated William and Katie’s wedding. It was awesome! They both declared their promises in front of God that they will love, comfort, honour and protect each other as long as they both live.

“Marriage is a gift from God, The Lord God said, “It s not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him” (Genesis 2: 18-24) NIV.

God creative work was not complete until he made a woman. He could have made her from the dust of the ground, as he made man. God chose, however, to make her from the man’s flesh and bone. In so doing, he illustrated for us that in marriage man and woman symbolically are united into one. This is a mystical union of the couple’s hearts and lives. Throughout the Bible, God treat this special partnership seriously. If you are married or planning to be married, are you willing to keep the commitment that makes the two of you one? The goal in marriage should be more than friendship; it should be oneness.

“So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate” (Matthew 19:6) NIV.  Jesus made God ideal very plain, he approved one kind of marriage bond, man to woman. These become one flesh, one before God.  Rom: 1:24-27. Heterosexual monogamy is God’s plan for marriage, the best plan and the only one.

May God Bless them!
